Naranjan Naidoo
Naranjan Naidoo is a British businessman, entrepreneur and investor with over twenty years of global investment experience. At the mature age of 24, he was entrusted with his family’s business and has continued to successfully manage the K. C. Naidoo business empire to this day.

Background

Naidoo comes from a long line of successful businessman dating as far back as 100 years. His grandfather moved from Pondicherry, South India to Durban, South Africa in the late 1800’s where he first established the family business and later passed it on to Naranjan Naidoo’s father.

A short time after Naranjan Naidoo was born and in response to the instability in the South Africa region, the family moved to the United Kingdom in the early 1960’s where Naranjan’s father continued to develop the family business. Around ten years after their initial move to Europe, Naranjan’s father’s health began to deteriorate. Sadly, 1983 marked the year when Naranjan’s father died, as well as the time when the fate of the family business was again passed on from father to son.

As the new head of the K.C. Naidoo family business, Naranjan Naidoo renamed the company: “Gulf Pacific”, and created a new brand identity. Gulf Pacific is based out of Dubai, United Arab Emirates and also has presence in Europe and Africa. Naidoo commutes internationally on a regular basis. Gulf Pacific is involved in a wide spectrum of business activities including mineral and metal mining, energy, private equity and investments.

Through Gulf Pacific, Naranjan Naidoo is involved in a number of different companies. Just recently he resigned from his post as Chairman of Algosys Ltd. (previously Tradelabs), effective August 2010. He continues to seek new entrepreneurial opportunities where he can actively contribute his know-how and business experience.

One such opportunity has been his recent membership to the exclusive Pi Capital investor network. Pi Capital offers individual investors the chance to participate in business transactions that are usually reserved for institutions. The investment network has nearly 300 members who make up Britain’s elite business leaders.

Pi Capital also sponsors social and educational activities including speaker luncheons and cultural and philanthropic events. Recent speakers include: The Rt Hon Lord Malloch-Brown, Minister of the State, Foreign & Commonwealth Office; Willem Buiter, Chair in European Political Economy at the European Institute, LSE, and Sarah Harper, Professor of Gerontology at Oxford University and Director of the Oxford Institute of Ageing. Speakers are brought in to educate, engage and enlighten.

Naranjan Naidoo has joined Pi Capital to contribute his knowledge and expertise, as well as be a part of a network that combines business opportunities with personal growth in a social atmosphere.
